What a difference a year makes? 2025 was a really tough Newcastle pond in June for many, but today we more than made up for it with a record busting 13 weights over the 100lb mark. Leading the way was Paul Bell who recorded a Hyde Park PB weight of 178lb, chasing him hard was Perry on peg 29 who had a grandstand finish to get to a fine 155lb. 3rd went to Chris Bell on peg 30 who let a good start slip to record 149lb. 

The Duke fished better than most expected id say, you need to remember its not just a carp dominated pond? Leading the way today was Kirky with a fantastic Hyde Park PB and venue record (just) from fancied power peg 2. He caught 171lb 15oz mainly from the long margin on hard 6mm pellets. 2nd place was Premier Champion elect Alex Dalton whom included many many skimmers in his sweetcord dominated 143lb offerings. Ton ups also for Paul Bell (Late arrival), Phil Lakin and Chris Bell. It was a decent match for many?
