GLEN EYRE ROMPS HOME ON THE NEWCASTLE
Glen Eyre romped home from fancied peg 25 today on the Newcastle lake. He caught mainly all carp on method feeder and wafter throwing down into the bay. Elsewhere the Newcastle was clearly a shadow of its former self. Many struggled for presentation in the usual cross winds. Best of the rest was Chris Bell with a paltry 65lb mixed bag, closely followed by John Beardall who also caught mainly carp for 64lb odd.
PERRY DOMINATES ON DUKE LAKE
A different sort of Duke match today imo... carp seemed to be much more willing to feed instead of the usual vast stocks of skimmer bream. Out in front was Perry with a fantastic ending to the match where he appeared to be hooking carp every 15secs???? From peg 32 he amassed a fine 149lb 8oz weight. 2nd place was Alex Dalton who had a fine 138lb 13oz from peg 8. Alex had a decent spell on pellet waggler before using his favourite corn tsunami tactic about 5m out. Pete Ellis completed the podium places with another fine display from peg 2 with yet another ton up weight of 103lb.
